A cup of coffee for your head
the idea of "forever is too long" sometimes frightened me. as much as it may sounds true, but somewhere, we yearn for the one we’ve been promised.
Zeus divided humans into two not because of their ability to conquer the earth, it was of the fidelity that he envy. To be fidel means to have faith. it takes courage to give your whole life away to spend with one person only. it takes consistency, it takes trust, it takes loyalty. it takes the “I’ll stay by your side no matter the circumstances” oath.
And Zeus can’t do just that. He’s the one walking down the garden picking all the beautiful flower yet feeling empty inside for too much choice, is burden for one himself.
hence, the separation for us humans to look for each other’s as a lifetime quest.
but life is much simpler than that. we born, we die. and if we’re lucky, somewhere in between we’ll laugh.
and you’ll find the one upon the laugh and the pain you’ve endured for god-knows-how-long.
I just turned one year older earlier this month. one year older, one year wiser, they said. yet life still pretty much seems like a movie with so many plot twists to unfold.
do I have plans for my future? yes. does it include long-term plans? absolutely. do I try my best every day to reach those plans? I hope so. I pray my fire won’t stop burning.
but of course, life, and good friends of mine reminds me to slow things down or else I’ll miss lot of things to look up. there’s a saying that men are happiest when they are building something. for me there are only three main channels to distribute my energy;
- building physique,
- building relationships, and
- building career.
do the long-term plans include those three? pas question. do the long-term plans include exit plans just in case turbulence hits me? I’m thinking of it.

one of my to-do list, as silly as it sounds, is to propose and get on my knees with Maliq & D’essentials — Pilihanku and citylight, crawling the cities in the background. don’t judge the song, I just find it is beautiful 😅
so yeah, maybe the saying can stay there, “forever is too long” can be around the life we build for as much time as God gave to it. Yet, I choose to enjoy life, and fully receive the blessings that still more to come.
c’est la vie, anyway!
